Australian Education Consultants’ Alliance (AECA) has elected Ram Chandra Poudel as their new president for the tenure of 2022-2024. The executive committee was unanimous. AECA’s 6th annual general meeting, held on 16th September 2022, was graced by the Consulate General of Nepal to NSW Hon. Deepak Khadka as the chief guest.
The AGM had various speakers with specialized knowledge, skills, and experience. Ms. Kim Hunter from Hunter flood lawyers, Zile Yu, and Juestine from Quantum Law Group were major highlights of the program. Representatives from International Student Education Agents Association (ISEAA) attended the AGM and both AECA and ISEAA have agreed to work collaboratively in the future for the mutual benefits and the highest welfare of the Nepalese international students.
During the evening session, Pramej Shrestha (A youth Liberal leader of Nepalese origin), Nick Smerdely (Mortdale ward Councillor Georges River Council), and Ms Wendy Elizabeth Lindsay (Member of Parliament) addressed the AGM. The AGM also successfully elected a new executive committee unanimously for 2022 – 2024 under the leadership of Mr. Ramchandra Poudel.
It has the outgoing Secretary Komal Raj Pathak as the Senior Vice-President and two other Vice Presidents Surya Bhakta Khanal and Yogendra Poudel and Dinesh Khanal as Secretary, Bhuwan Hari Pandey as the joint Secretary and Satya Prakash Kandel as Treasurer. It includes Suman Adhikari, Ram Chalise, Deepak KC, Bhumeshor Subedi, and Shristi Shah as executive members.
The first meeting of the newly elected committee was held on the same day and the meeting appointed Mr. Ram Chalise as a Public relation officer and Ms. Shristi Shah as the spokesperson of the organisation.
The election commission led by the former AECA President Niraj Shrestha consisted of the members Bharat Mani Devkota and Sharad Bhusal. Mr. Shrestha administered the oath to the elected committee.
The newly elected President, the outgoing Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel who is the founder and Managing Director of Grace International Education and Migration said, “I would like to thank all AECA members for putting trust in him and he would work as a team member. I am committed to contributing to the overall welfare, advancement, and goodwill of our academic fraternity and the community as a whole. I am only the medium for furthering our campaign and taking this profession and occupation to the next level. I am looking forward to working with all valued members of AECA and the community organizations to achieve our common goals.”
