Australian Ambassador to Nepal Felicity Volk Presents Credential to President of Nepal

On 15 February 2021, Australia’s Ambassador to Nepal, Her Excellency Ms Felicity Jane Volk, presented her credentials to the Right Honourable President of Nepal, Bidya Devi Bhandari, at an event organised at the Shital Niwas.

Kathmandu, The newly appointed Australian Ambassador to Nepal, Her Excellency Felicity Jane Volk, presented her diplomatic credentials to the Right Honourable President of Nepal, Bidya Devi Bhandari, amid a credential ceremony held at the Shital Niwas on 15th February 2021.

The day also marks 61 st anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Nepal and Australia. Also present on the occasion were Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and other high-level government officials in Nepal.

Ambassador Volk is a career diplomat of over thirty years’ experience, including roles as Director of Australia’s Office of the Ambassador for Women and Girls and postings in Laos as Deputy Head of Mission and Bangladesh.

Ambassador Volk is the eleventh resident Ambassador to Nepal and the fourth female Australian Ambassador to Nepal.

Ambassador Volk is the successor to Ambassador Peter Budd, who served as an Australian Ambassador to Nepal for three and a half years until 28th October 2020.
