Himalayan Youth Club (HYC) has elected the new executive committee under the leadership of Himanshu M. Upadhaya.

Sydney, Himalayan Youth Club (HYC) held an AGM on 28 August at Club Atlantic Blvd. Glenfield NSW 2167.  The community-spirited pioneering and leading football club in Nepalese Football in Australia has elected the new executive committee under the leadership of the renowned long-standing footballer Himanshu M. Upadhaya.

The AGM also appointed Kshitiz Shrestha and Madhav Pokharel as Vice Presidents, Aadesh M. Singh as the General Secretary, Sachin K.C. as secretary, Yogendra Bhandari as the Treasurer and Sponsorship Co-ordinator, Merina Maharjan as Public Relations & Social Networking and Nabin Rayamajhi as ICT & Website Co-ordinator.

Executive Members/Co-ordinators

Nitu Karmacharya was appointed as Women & Culture Co-ordinator and Amrita Pokharel as Events & Programmes Co-ordinator. The committee also includes Dal Gurung, Bidur Basnet, Saroj Gurung, and Santosh Thapa as executive members.

Sports Co-ordinators

It also appointed Rupesh Chettri, Prabhakar Pokharel, and Bijay Raut as the sports coordinators for HYC Junior Football Team, HYC Veterans Football Team, and HYC Badminton & Tennis respectively.

Advisory Board Members

It has Dr. Krishna Shrestha, Rajiv Pradhan, Nabin Rana, and Raju Manandhar as advisory members.

In the event organized amid a lively and encouraging atmosphere, the newly elected committee heartily acknowledged the outgoing HYC President the committed community campaigner and veteran footballer Nabin Rana and his committee for their remarkable and inspiring contributions to the overall progress, success, and goodwill of the Club. It was attended by a significant number of club members and well-wishers. There was a BBQ held for the club members and participants.

Himalayan Youth Club (HYC), established in 1998, is one of the oldest football clubs in the Nepalese community in Australia. It has been collaborating with different charity organisations through sports.
