Melbourne, Melbourne-based United FC (Yellow) won the ‘Blueberry 7 A Side Football Tournament’ held on 12 June 2022 in Elite Football Training Facility, 169 Rosemond Road, Maribyrnong Vic 3023. The celebrated Nepalese football tournament in Melbourne was organised by United FC, a reputed Melbourne-based leading community-spirited soccer Club, and sponsored by Blueberry Real Estate Melbourne.

10 Melbourne-based football teams United FC (Yellow), United FC (Orange), Yeti FC, (Blue), Yeti FC (Red), Himalayan FC, Himalayan Tigers, Royale FC, Royal Western FC, Craigieburn Brigade S.C., and Chandra Surya FC participated in the highly competitive tournament.

It was played in league cum knockout format. In Semi-Final 1, the Himalayan Football Club defeated The Himalayan Tigers 2-1. In the Semi-Final 2, which was also an equally free-flowing match, the home team United FC outscored Royal Western FC 2-0. In the decider, the teams having the same standard in ability and strength unleashed friendly rivalry. The home team United FC (Yellow) beat Himalayan FC 4-0.

The tournament, a one-day soccer fiesta, has Blueberry Real Estate Melbourne as the title sponsor, Bardali Dine Restaurant as the individual title sponsor, and Dip Electrical, Zen Cleaning Services, The Sovereign, Pictor Services, Donna Kingdom, Car Tech Melbourne, Blue Lotus College, and Colorate Signs as the supporters. Post-Final Award Distribution Ceremony

After the final match in the well-known Nepalese football tournament in Melbourne, Binit Sharma and Mahadev Dhanuk from Blueberry Estate gave away the championship trophy, medals, certificates, and cash prize amounting to $3500 to the winners and medals, certificates, and cash prize of $2000 to the first runners-up.

The gold-medal performances of top-class individual talents from different teams absolutely thrilled the crowd of soccer fans. Fair Play Award was bagged by Royal Western FC. Ekjan Man Tuladhar (United FC, Yellow) was awarded the Player of the Tournament trophy. The Highest Goal Scorer award was won by Nirmal Koirala (Himalayan FC). Likewise, Suraj Raut (United FC Yellow) was adjudged man-of-the-match (Final), and – United FC Yellow) goalkeeper Bibek Adhikari was awarded the golden glove.

Taking this into consideration, we can say that it is one of the oldest football tournaments in the Nepalese community. The championship was rebranded this year. The rebranded championship of this edition will assume the running trophy every year.
