Why
On the Australian media landscape, in addition to mainstream newspapers and other media outlets, there are a large number of ethnic and multilingual community newspapers representing the Australian multicultural community. These ethnic media outlets are promoting community harmony and preserving diversity in the society. Nepalese Australian is aiming to fill the gap with new and emerging Nepalese community and Australian mainstream society as well as serving the needs of the Nepalese community which is the fastest growing and still emerging in Australia.
Our Objectives:
Information: Fulfil the human right of information for all by providing facts with truthfulness and accuracy.
Freedom of Expression: Uphold freedom of expression with responsibility.
Success Stories : We will provide the success stories of the community members, positive aspects of societies in order to develop community harmony.
Appreciation & Cooperation: We will bring together various sections of the community together by highlighting their achievements in order to bring about appreciation and cooperation amongst them.
Inclusive: We will reach out not only to Nepalese community but all Australians as well as globally via its website and email networks. It will promote multiculturalism and community harmony.
Constructive Criticism: Nepalese Australian will seek out truth and boldly raise awareness of injustice, corruption, bullying and abuse of power and wealth and promote corrective action in order to build an equitable, fair and just society.
Conversation: Nepalese Australian will promote dialogue, communication and meeting of people from different faiths, indigenous groups and ethnic communities.
The Final countdown has begun for the Nepal Festival Sydney 2022 scheduled to be held on Saturday,19 November 2022 from 11:00 am onwards at Burwood Park, NSW. The last round of preparation for the mega event with the slogan “One Country: Many Stories” is said to be almost accomplished.
Two national culture icons passed away in the span of two days in Nepal. Dr. Satya Mohan Joshi, the legendary scholar, academic, researcher, chancellor of the Nepal Bhasa, and the three times recipient of Madan Puraskar (one of the most prestigious awards in Nepal) passed away on 16 October.

Canberra – United Football Club (UFC) wins the one-day 11-A Side football Championship “4th S&S and Right & Associates Nepal Embassy Cup 2022” held on 5th September at the Australian Institute of Sports (AIS) football ground, Canberra. In the title match, the Melbourne giant UFC beat the Sydney powerhouse football club Saint George Nepalese Club (SGNC) 2-0.
